Hey I don't know how old this thread is but I had that problem.. you need to do a search for those two files.. especially the one that says it's missing. You'll find it in the windows system folder. then you rename the one in the visioneer folder to *name*.old and copy the one from the windows system file over to the visioneer file. I had to do this when I updated to windows Me from 98.
