You can try making a bootable floppy disk with the latest bios from http://www.acersupport.com/notebook/html/e510_dl.html

Use the "Make.bat" and "Imdump.exe" programs included with the download to make the floppy disk.
Edit the Autoexec.bat file on the floppy disk and remove the "pause" line so that it does not pause for operator input.

The laptop may be able to boot and load the floppy even if no screen display appears.
Wait for it to read the floppy, and then wait for a few minutes for it to finish loading the BIOS.

If that doesn't solve the problem your only option is to send it back to Acer for repair.
The reason is the boot block has been corrupted and the BIOS chip has to be reprogrammed using a PROM programmer outside the computer.

I would also like to ask you if you have the driver diskettes for Windows 95 / 98 for the Extensa. I have an Extensa 510 that was donated to my church but the drivers for Windows 95/98 are not on the Acer site.
They are being very unhelpful and saying I have to send the laptop in for a factory software reload to get the drivers.
