I need to find out what type of cpu my computer can take I have some details from a bios program these are: BIOS DATE: 12/23/96, BIOS TYPE: Award Modular BIOS v4.51PG, BIOS ID: 12/23/96-i430VX-2A59GD0BC-00, BIOS Eval: EXP8661 Ver 2.2 BIOS, Chipset: Intel Triton 430VX rev 2, Superio: Intel 82091AA rev 160 found at port 24h, Superio: Winbond 877F (use 87h) rev 0 found at port 3F0h; The reason I want to know this is I need to get a new cpu which has mmx to get my new modem to work, it is a conexant 56k modem and it won't work without mmx so I am stuck with my old 14.4 modem until I find a way to get this one to work, I have also got some numbers from a chip on my motherboard I think that will help SU093 L6483062 SB82371SB If anyone can tell me a way to find out what cpu my motherboard can take or tell me of a way to get my modem to work I will be very gratefull you can also email me at bdelforce@globalfreeway.com.au
