: Have several Toshiba T4500C,T4600C,T4700CS and CT and T4800CT, with bios written password locked, all purchased from Large Corporation, does defense work, am told by Toshiba dealer, because of military affilation, have a step higher security built into them, can only be removed by factory. Have tryed the parallel port tool, bios upgrade, making a keydisk, no luck. On these during boot up, they go imediatelly to the bios, don't get to the Hardrive or floppy, only way to read floppy, is to use F12 key, as doing a bios upgrade. The value of these models, factory removal is too expensive, I believe it canbe done with software, anyone have some clues?

The password is stored on the hard disk as well.

It might be possible to remove the hard disk, *and* use the parallel port tool with boot disk in drive to get the machine to boot. However, the hard disk password is not removable easily, it will need to be plugged into an older machine that can be set to "A: only" boot, and a de-partition tool run.

Hope this helps ..
