To get a bios upgrade for your system you might try a place like Unicore. They provide for purchase bios upgrades for older systems. You can contact them at 1-800-800-BIOS, or at http://www.unicore.com I've did these upgrades before and unicore provides a terrific solution.

: : I have an Intel Triton FX chipset board with an Award bios.
: : I have no idea who made it, and I can't use the BIOS ID utilities because it had been misflashed sometime in the past (I've been told).
: : It's marked P5I437/250A V2.0(S2.1) on the PCB board, the BIOS string it reports is
: : I430FX-2A59CQ1CC-00 (QDI but their physical description doesn't match)
: : It's socket 7, 4 PCI, 3 ISA, 4 72pin SIMMS, and PS/2 Mouse header connections.

: : I want to use a Zerus Mach Z 400mhz cpu upgrade, I think I need a bios upgrade (Zerus says Award compile dates of March 1,97 or later)

: : If anyone can please help me find any answers ( I've hit Award/Phoenix, QDI, but no luck) I'd be extremely grateful.
: : Thanks in advance.

: Look for a FCC ID number on the motherboard itself they are usually 8 charaters long
: go to www.fcc.gov then search and finally in the left toolbar there is a link for Search FCC ID number. type it in and it should tell you who made it when it was made and more.
