I use a pc PII/266M with 64M Ram, 4,8G hard disk at home.
Now I want to buy a new hard disk of 10GB. But I have heard
maybe there is the bios problem. some bios versions does not
support the big hard disk.
with bwz.exe, I have tested the bios information of the mainboard of my pc.
these are:
BIOS Date: 12/29/97
BIOS Signon: 12/29/97 - i440LX-P6LX-AP
BIOS Type: Eward Modular V4.51PG
Chipset: Intel 440EX/LX Rev 3
OEM Signon: P6LX-A+ Ver2.1

I want know if this version of BIOS supports the hard
disk with 10GB.

Because I do not know, so I can not make decision, whether
ich buy one new hard disk.

I am looking for someone who knows BIOS well. please
tell me how I can deal with this problem.

He works with a PC that uses Award BIOS und supports
the hard disk more than 10GB .

Thanks !
