: I'm trying to put AMD K6-2 at 400 MHz on my 5I-TX1
: Wow... K6-2-400 runs on 100 MHz system bus clock (4x100 MHz); and Intel 430TX chipset used in 5I-TX1 can work only on 66MHz :-((( so the only possible way is to use 400 MHz K6 as 266 MHz processor (4x66 MHz). If you wanna use K6, you'll need a mainboard based on ViA MVP3 chipset, not on i430TX.
Since I have read that K6-2 recognizes factor 2 as factor 6, I figured that it is possible to put it on my board (6*66=400 MHz or even 6*75=450 MHz).
The only problem is power. Can that main board hold more then 12A?
